What to do in the territory of Langhe: the best activities to get to know the area

La Morra is a small and typical village in the heart of the Langhe, the production area of the prestigious Barolo wine. This area has recently been included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
We are located a few kilometers from Alba, famous for its Alba White Truffle Fair.
The historic center of La Morra is characterized by small, intersecting porphyry streets.
Piazza Castello, also nicknamed Piazza Belvedere, is the main attraction: from here you can admire a truly breathtaking view of hills, vineyards, and castles, which on clear days can reach as far as the snow-capped Alps.

Other places of interest include the Bell Tower, on which you can climb to enjoy the view from another vantage point, and the Baroque-style church of San Martino.
Wine lovers can visit the Cantina Comunale, where it is possible to get an overview of wines from more than 80 local producers.
Just outside the town center, an easy walk will take you to the Brunate Chapel, also known as the little church of Barolo.
The small deconsecrated church is famous for its brilliant colors and is nestled in the vineyards of one of La Morra’s most prestigious valleys.

In addition to La Morra, many tours await you in the surroundings of Agriturismo il Gelso. You can leave directly from the garden on foot or by MTB to discover a network of well-marked trails in a breathtaking landscape.

You will discover an endless sea of hills named a UNESCO heritage site and you can reach with short walks the nearest villages Barolo, Novello and Verduno full of Restaurants, Osterias, Wine bars and renowned wineries.

Alternatively by car you can reach in a few minutes the nearest towns such as Barolo, Grinzane Cavour, Serralunga, Roddi with their enchanting castles.

You will also be 15 minutes from Alba, where the famous Truffle Fair takes place in the fall, or from Bra, where the Slow Food association was born and has its headquarters.
On the other hand, in an hour you can reach Cuneo (provincial capital), Turin with its famous monuments and shopping streets or reach the sea for a day of sunbathing.
