Located a few meters from Agriturismo il Gelso, in the heart of the Langhe, Villa Savio is an independent vacation home of authentic style, with period furniture, cement and terracotta floors, decorated in the interior with frescoes by the artist Giovanni Savio.
\nIn the garden there is a swimming pool, available to guests of the Villa, from which you will enjoy an enchanting view of the valley of the castles of Serralunga and Grinzane Cavour.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text align=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1694346709044{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]\nThe pool is for the exclusive use of Villa Savio guests.

The story of Villa Savio: why it is a unique structure.<\/h2>\n[\/mk_fancy_title][\/vc_column][\/mk_page_section][mk_page_section bg_color=”#f09b3f” bg_position=”center center” bg_repeat=”no-repeat” bg_stretch=”true” enable_3d=”true” video_opacity=”0.8″ sidebar=”sidebar-1″][vc_column width=”1\/2″][mk_padding_divider size=”30″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1552512642921{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]In addition to the wonderful view of the Langhe vineyards, Villa Savio is also unique for another reason.<\/p>\n

The Villa was built in the early 20th century by the Savio family of artists and decorators. Giovanni Savio (1863-1950) personally curated the Villa’s Pompeian-style frescoes, which are still present in the structure today. Savio also curated the large Art Nouveau peacock that can be seen on the facade.<\/p>\n

The painter Giovanni Savio has a special connection with Piedmont: he oversaw the first decoration of the Barolo Chapel, palaces and castles in the Langa (La Morra, Novello, and Verduno), and, outside the region, the halls of the Montecarlo casino.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][mk_padding_divider size=”30″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1554894693681{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]In 2005, the Oberto family decided to purchase and renovate the villa, later converting it into a vacation home. In this way they would make these artistic beauties available to guests.<\/p>\n
